At Coach Transformation, we provide a nurturing and supportive environment for you to expand your skills, connect with others in the field, and grow as a coach. We get it – we know the obstacles you might encounter, and we’re here to support you at every turn.
Mentor coaching is a mandatory part of your coach certification journey. The International Coaching Federation (ICF) requires coaches to complete 10 hours of mentor coaching. Coach Transformation Academy has designed our mentor coaching to comply with the ICF’s definition and mentor coaching guidelines. ICF coach certification requires coaches to complete at least 10 hours of mentor coaching, with 7 hours in group mentor coaching and 3 hours in individual (one-to-one) mentor coaching. We ensure you meet these requirements and are fully prepared for your certification.
What is Mentor Coaching?
ICF Mentor coaching is a process where you are coached on your coaching skills in preparation for the ICF certification as a certified coach. It follows a different approach than coaching on work goals, personal elements, life balance, or other topics unrelated to the development of your coaching skill.
CTA’s Mentor Coaching Approach
CTA’s Mentor Coaching course is designed specifically for coaches who want to deepen their coaching skills, get coached on their coaching skills, and prepare for ICF Credential. Our mentor coaching course is focused on supporting our coaches to master the ICF Core Coaching Competencies. This course includes the rigorous practice of ICF Core Coaching Competencies to help you master the coaching process and accelerate your learning. CTA’s ICF mentor coaching course consists of 10 hours of mentor coaching. As per the ICF requirements, the mentor coaching is conducted as 7-hours of group mentor coaching and 3-hours of individual (one to one) mentor coaching. Coach Transformation Academy conducts the group mentor coaching in fast-track, weekend and weekday sessions, and one-to-one mentor coaching is completed in 3 sessions.

Program Schedule
10-hours of Mentoring (as per the ICF requirements) is divided into 2 parts:
- 7-hours of Group Mentoring followed by
- 3-hours of One-to-One Mentoring
- Fast-Track Group Mentoring is a single session
- Both Weekend and Weekday Mentoring consist of two sessions each.
